River Severn Partnership Advanced Wireless Innovation Region shortlisted for four prestigious environmental monitoring awards

The River Severn Partnership Advanced Wireless Innovation Region (RSPAWIR) is proud to announce that its work and pioneering projects have been shortlisted for the 2025 Environmental Monitoring Awards, hosted by the Water, Wastewater & Environmental Management Expo (WWEM).

These nominations celebrate the RSPAWIR’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and environmental stewardship across the River Severn catchment.

The shortlisted projects are:

Ross Cook, co-chair of the River Severn Partnership, said: "Being shortlisted in four categories is a testament to the dedication and innovation of the RSPAWIR and our partners across the region. These projects are not only advancing the use of wireless technologies in environmental monitoring but also building stronger, more resilient communities."

Rob Wilson, Shropshire Council cabinet member with responsibility for digital and the green economy, said: “The RSPAWIR is delivering innovative and practical solutions across a wide range of projects and applications across the region.

“The focus on water management, agri-tech and the public sector has resulted in even more potentially award-winning schemes being trialled which have the scope to be scaled up to a national level.

“I wish the RSPAWIR and the partners every success at the awards ceremony.”

The winners will be announced at the Environmental Monitoring Awards Gala Dinner on 17 September 2025 at The Vox, Birmingham, during the ESS Expo.
