Aims: To address the challenge of water scarcity and promote better water management with data that enables pinpoint accuracy when it comes to delivering irrigation and nutrients to crops.
What we did: We deployed a series of wireless monitoring devices and sensors to monitor soil moisture and evapotranspiration in real time. These worked alongside existing weather stations to provide data for farmers to understand soil moisture levels and precisely irrigate crops, based on real-time information.
What we hope to achieve: Enable PDM to make informed decisions based on live data that reduces water use, improves productivity and reduces costs. It should encourage collaboration in the region and improve awareness of water management and water availability.
