The RSPAWIR trialled the installation of industrial scale Smart Water Butts with number of businesses and organisations located in the river Strine catchment.
The project tested the capability of remotely controlled water butts to serve the industrial or operational needs of benefitting businesses and organisations, reduce the demand for non-potable water from the mains supply and generate storage capacity prior to periods of intense rainfall.
Almost 125,000 litres of capacity was installed across six distinct projects.
